Chaozhou Milanxiang Dancong Tea

from £16.00

潮州蜜蘭香單樅 | Fengxi Milanxiang Dancong – Honey Orchid Fragrance

Grown at 600m+ altitude in Fengxi Village, Phoenix Town, Milanxiang Dancong is a highly aromatic oolong known for its rich honeyed fragrance and floral depth. A prized variety of Phoenix Dancong, it delivers a refined balance of sweetness, freshness, and lingering complexity.

With trees over 40 years old, this tea embodies both shan yun (mountain character)—a crisp, cooling sensation from its high-altitude terroir—and cong yun (grove character)—a depth of aged wood and mossy undertones. Naturally cultivated without fertilisers or pesticides, each cup reflects the pure essence of its environment.

To fully release its 44 aromatic compounds, Milanxiang requires boiling water (100°C), steeping for around 10-15 seconds to unveil its signature “honey character” (mi yun 蜜韵) and floral richness over multiple infusions.

An essential for gongfu tea brewing, pair this tea with one of Yujian’s Chaozhou Red Clay teapots for an elevated tasting experience. A timeless expression of Phoenix Mountain Dancong’s legendary fragrance.
