The clay undergoes hand-refining and traditional wood firing, resulting in a white slip base with a plant ash glaze. Through reduction firing, the teapot develops its distinctive green hue and textured surface, echoing the natural beauty of spring.
Unlike highly absorbent ceramics, this teapot does not retain tea flavours, allowing the full aroma and complexity of each infusion to shine. With its balanced thickness, it retains heat well, making it particularly ideal for brewing dark teas.
