HouShi "Quiet White" Dehua White Porcelain Gongdaobe
后石《素白》德化白瓷公道杯
Handcrafted from fine Dehua white porcelain, each Fairness Cup is shaped through the traditional process of wheel throwing, trimming, glazing, and high-temperature oxidation firing. Renowned for centuries as one of China's finest porcelain clays, Dehua porcelain is celebrated for its remarkable purity, delicate translucency, and smooth luminous surface.
Fired in an electric kiln under a carefully controlled oxidation atmosphere, the porcelain develops a clean ivory-white finish with exceptional density and durability. Its refined, non-porous surface does not absorb aroma or flavour, allowing every tea to express its character with complete clarity and precision.
Designed as the vessel that unites the infusion before serving, the Fairness Cup ensures each guest receives tea of the same strength and balance. As the liquor gently rests within the vessel, its temperature naturally softens, revealing greater sweetness, aroma, and texture while making every cup more comfortable to drink.
The luminous white porcelain also beautifully reflects the colour of the tea itself—from the pale silver hues of white tea to the deep amber of aged oolong—allowing the clarity, brilliance, and subtle tonal variations of each infusion to be fully appreciated.
