The Full Moon Tea Gathering is both a personal discipline and an ongoing project within Lin’s tea practice — a commitment to host a tea gathering on every full moon.
In Chinese, 满月 (Mǎn Yuè) means “the full, round moon,” symbolising reunion and togetherness. As the moon becomes whole, we gather in a circle — to share tea, presence, and reflection.
Each gathering follows a gentle ritual: it begins with a welcome tea, then unfolds through three carefully curated teas, each paired with a handmade, seasonal sweet. The experience responds to the theme, season, space, and mood, allowing tea to become a dialogue between time, place, and people.
Rooted in the rhythm of the moon, this practice invites us to deepen our awareness of cycles — of nature, of self, and of connection — through the simple act of sharing tea.
